This is one of the cutest little toys that I have seen in a long time. My 8 year old daughter received one and absolutely adores it. She is going to get most of the Hamster City accessories for Christmas. The hamster recognizes the areas of the accessories it is in and will act accordingly. The hamster itself will roll around on the hardwood floor, stopping and starting and backing up at will. It will make very cute noises too. It has 3 buttons, one on the tip of its nose, one on the back of the neck and one on its back. These will cause it to make noise or to move. Hats off to Cepia. It is so cute that believe it or not my 10 year old daughter wants one too. The price issue is something you are going to have to justify yourself if you are unable to find for manufacturers retail. Ebay is also a great source for these little guys, that is where I got ours.
